One of our third year Education Studies students – Tanya Pinnock – has been nominated for the “Positive Role Model Award” as part of the National Diversity Awards.
Tanya is an undergraduate who is currently in her last year of a BA Education Studies Degree. She is extremely passionate about raising awareness on Domestic Violence and healthy relationships where she has been visiting schools and delivering workshops. She has been engaging with young people from a range of culture and religious backgrounds. Tanya was influenced from overcoming her own personal experience of Domestic Violence and as a result was brutually wounded outside her university on International women’s day.
