For final year students or graduates…
The Graduate Teaching Internship (GTI) Scheme
The Graduate Teaching Internship (GTI) Scheme is a new opportunity for graduates to Try Teaching as part of a paid internship programme in an English school. This national scheme offers graduates the opportunity to work in schools in a salaried post and gain the necessary experience and skills needed to unlock an incredible career in teaching.
The GTI Scheme will place up to 5,000 graduates in teaching and learning support roles in schools across England, the U.K. and in international schools, with the aim of encouraging more graduates to Try Teaching and continue on to ITT and on to QTS. The Scheme is run by Try Teaching, who are a team of experienced ITT providers, former senior government officials and edtech entrepreneurs. Try Teaching is working with AGCAS, TES, BESA, the CBI and charities to make this happen and to help solve the teacher recruitment crisis.
